CHINA, Mark and Period Qianlong, 18th century

Rare and important porcelain vase

Model known as "Four Seasons Flowers," featuring a decoration in polychrome enamels of the famille rose with seasonal flowers and poems in quadrangular reserves on the belly, on a background of apple green enamels, adorned with lotus scrolls. A Qianlong mark "Da Qing Qianlong nian zhi" in six iron-red characters beneath the base, turquoise glazed.

Total height: 38 cm (with the mount)

Provenance: Collection of the Inspector General of Colonial Troops, Edmond-Jean Bouvier (1891-1971), and then passed down through the descendants.
