Guided tour - Asia at the Château de Versailles

Visit of the Asian collections of the Château de Versailles, as well as the influences of Asia on the objects of the Château.

The visit will be led by Marie-Laure de Rochebrune, General Curator at the Château de Versailles. The collections of the Musée national des châteaux de Versailles et de Trianon include some outstanding works, including several pieces of a porcelain service with the French coat of arms, ordered by Louis XV in 1738 through the French East India Company.

In 2018, thanks to the sponsorship of the LVMH group, the national collections were enriched by an exceptional Chinese silver jug. It is a diplomatic gift from the King of Siam Phra Narai (1633-1688), presented by his ambassadors to Louis XIV on September 1, 1686 at Versailles.
