About the event

« A soloist in mission »

From the musical encounter between an artist, a work of art, a heritage and the public is born a new emotion. Each sequence is a discovery of a new instrument (guitar, violin, harp...) and a professional artist. A dialogue is initiated with the visitors about the musician's choices: his route through the museum, his choice of musical works in relation to the works on display.

The musical itinerary, renewed at each session, crosses the cultural and religious spaces of the Foreign Missions of Paris (the Martyrs' Hall, the crypt, the Chapel of the Epiphany, the temporary exhibition, the garden).

At lunchtime, from 1pm, come and share a musical and cultural break with MISSION 128.

With Viviane Bruneau-Shen, guzheng (traditional Chinese zither)

She is a resolutely atypical musician. She combines the great piano repertoire with the ancient Chinese musical tradition; her multiple heritages, a source of creative inspiration, give birth to colorful compositions that are both powerful and subtle.

The piano has always been part of her life. Born in Tokyo, of a French father and a Chinese mother, she played her first notes in Japan at the age of two. When she arrived in France, after studying at the Conservatories of Rennes and Saint-Maur-des-Fossés, she was unanimously accepted at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris (CNSMDP ) in the class of Nicholas Angelich and Romano Pallottini, from which she graduated in 2008.
