Large celadon-glazed porcelain bowl
China, Qing dynasty, Yongzheng mark and period (1723–1735)
Pale celadon-glazed porcelain with a moulded band of stylised scrolling foliage in low relief around the exterior, with flared rim and flat base. The base similarly glazed, bearing a six-character Yongzheng mark in underglaze blue in kaishu script within a double circle

Acquired by Henri Maux (1901–1950), French engineer and diplomat, during his mission in China (1945–1949), and by descent in the family
