Established since 1994 at 3 rue des Saints-Pères, in the heart of Paris’s 6th arrondissement, the Galerie Valérie Levesque has become a leading destination for Asian art enthusiasts and collectors.A graduate of the École du Louvre, Valérie Levesque has long nurtured a deep passion for Asian arts, notably enriched through her close engagement with the collections of the Musée Guimet. With more than thirty years of experience, she has built an international network and regularly collaborates with major institutions, including the Musée Guimet and the Musée de la Compagnie des Indes.
For the 9th edition of Printemps Asiatique Paris, the exhibition presented at Galerie Charpentier and later at the gallery brings together Chinese works from the Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, Tibetan pieces from the 18th and 19th centuries, as well as Japanese objects from the Momoyama, Edo, and Meiji periods. Porcelains, lacquerware, jade carvings, textiles, bronzes, scholar’s objects, and Buddhist or Taoist sculptures form a collection in which refinement, tradition, and craftsmanship engage in dialogue.
