On the occasion of the Asian Art Fair at the Galerie Charpentier, Slaats Fine Arts will present the exhibition Tradition, Reimagined: Asian Art Across Eras, bringing together major works that explore the dialogue between heritage and contemporary creation.
Among the highlights is a rare gilt-bronze figure of Mañjuśrī, China, Yongle period (1403–1424), bearing a six-character mark and of the period, from the prestigious Benedum collection (Pennsylvania).
The exhibition also features the work of Chinese artist Yinglong Li (Guangzhou, b. 1988). A craftsman and researcher, he specialises in enamelling and silversmithing, with a particular focus on the plique-à-jour technique. For over seventeen years, he has developed a practice that bridges traditional craftsmanship and contemporary innovation. His works are now held in major collections, including the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
