Founded in 1968, Vanderven Oriental Art is an internationally renowned family-run gallery specialising in Chinese art. For over fifty years, it has been dedicated to building a collection of exceptional quality, with a particular focus on Chinese ceramics — from Han and Tang pottery to porcelain from the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries.
The gallery also presents an outstanding range of Chinese works of art, including archaic bronzes, jades, glass, wooden and iron sculptures. Carefully sourced worldwide, many of these pieces come from historic European private collections, ensuring strong and well-documented provenance.
Supported by an extensive specialist library, significant archives, and ongoing research, the gallery continuously deepens its knowledge of the works it presents. This intellectual rigor, combined with a long-standing family tradition, has established Vanderven Oriental Art as one of the leading international dealers in Chinese art.
